Qualified facilitator, coach, and educator with over fifteen years' experience helping groups and individuals hone speaking and presentation skills.
I believe firmly that public speaking and communication skills cannot be learned or taught through techniques and tools alone.
Technique can refine delivery, but it cannot create connection. And without connection, to oneself and to one’s listener, communication rings hollow.
A speaker with a polished voice and flawless technique but no genuine connection risks speaking from a disconnected place.
As a young person, I struggled with stage fright, low confidence, and fear of public speaking. I didn’t yet know how to communicate with clarity and presence, or the necessary language, vocal and physical tools.
Through education and persistence, I learned how to express myself with authenticity, clarity, and power. Today, I have delivered many programs on self-mastery, leadership, communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
I’m also a multi-award-winning actor with over twenty-five years’ experience in theatre, television, and film. I’ve appeared in over twenty professional theatre productions in South Africa and abroad, with several plays and films receiving award nominations — including two Fleur Du Cap awards.
My theatre experience includes stand-up comedy, including collaborations with celebrated comedians such as Trevor Noah, Nik Rabinowitz, Stuart Taylor, and Riaad Moosa, among others.
In Cape Town, I’m an active Toastmasters member, where I speak regularly and enjoy many opportunities to observe and evaluate other speakers, sharpening my ear for authentic, impactful communication.
